Hi all,
I'm looking for someone to review the policies for my rentals I have from various carriers - Statefarm, AmFam, etc. Looking to pay a flat fee and not from someone who wants to sell me insurance, much like paying a financial advisor to review verses buying the products he/she recommends. I want to make sure that I'm well covered and have the right riders or remove the riders I don't need.
What you are looking for is an Insurance Consultant. I do not often see them in the Personal or Small commercial insurance space so I looked online to see if they had a trade Association. I found two:
- The Society of Risk Management Consultants
- American Association of Insurance Management Consultants
You may find members in your area or that specialize in what you want reviewed.
@Jay Y. to follow up to John's comments/recommendations, the consultants I have worked with will charge 10% of your total premium with some sort of minimum. Don't be surprised if some of them have $5k minimums. What your asking for is pretty light work, so I'm sure you can find something less than the $5k.
