Zoomeral / Genie Investments - Has Anyone Used Them?

I am curious to see if anyone has successfully funded with Zoomeral and Genie Investments.  We are looking at them as an option but wanted to see if I could verify the legitimacy of what they offer with others that may have used them.

I will reiterate that I am open to a settlement involving a complete refund of the moneys. There was never a loan. When I receive my funds I will Remove all negative comments, I created and/or directed others to create about Genie/ZOOMERAL from the internet and/or social media platforms; And Continue any other lawsuit, legal action, legal proceedings, and/or class action against Genie/ZOOMERAL.
This is the only sort of settlement or agreement I am willing to sign. Otherwise, I will continue moving forward in seeking legal justice alongside other clients who have been victimized by the schemes and scams of multiple companies, including Zoomeral and Genie Investments NV. I have tried to work with David Hughes and have many threats verbal and in writing. I have committed no crime. My reviews are the truth and that's what reviews are there for. David Hughes has my deposit/moms life savings on a loan he could never provide. There is no threats here. I will continue to move on the path I am on unless I can receive my mothers savings back. There has been no loans paid and Zoomeral, Genie, David Hughes and Mcmann continue to take peoples money with 1000 of lies on text and verbal conversation I have recorded. I know other are suing for damages. At this point I just want what I am owed my deposit.

    I am aware of a loan that has been pre-approved with a funding date in August, 2022.

    I know someone who said they've gotten funding through them and I know one of my business partners embezzled $500k from my project that we got from another investor that I'm really hoping he will be paying back soon (FML).

    @Sean Richway I'd also be curious to hear why you didn't move forward with them.

    I entered into a contractual loan agreement with a company by the name of Mcmann commercial lending llc. This group is providing a loan, which is named a Beloc or business expansion line of credit. Early in October of 2022 I applied for and received an approval for a $24,000,000 Loan. I paid in some application fees of $7900 and went through an underwriting process before receiving an approval in writing .All information on the Mcmann loan was entered through a secure portal called Zoomeral, although there were several problems getting information fed into the system I eventually forwarded everything needed to the Mcmann processors and they entered my information and I got a confirmation back by email stating everything was done and in place on the Zoomeral info portal platform.

    On February 13, 2023. This loan was executed by all parties,

    Mcmann requires a ICA Interest Carry account to start the performance on the loan, this is similar to an escrow account on a mortgage loan.

    Mcmann has what they represented as a “sister company“ & that they would do a bridge loan to fund the interest carry account for all Mcmann borrowers for a no out-of-pocket Funding of the ICA account .

    The name of this company is Genie Investment NV, this company provided a $2.4 million (10%) of total loan to Mcmann Commercial Lending to fund the ICA account which initially executes the loan. To get the bridge loan from Genie Investments It is required that we must put up prepaid interest for the 90 day time Or until the Beloc loan funded in my case it was $360,000. That money was wired directly to Genie Investment Nv this was a part of the Mcmann loan bundle of paperwork.

    Once the funds are received, this starts the clock ticking for the funding time This is stated in the loan documents, the note and the security agreement. Contractually The borrowers are supposed to be funded between 14 and 75 days… and at about the 60 for me, these lenders provided multiple letters stating that there were delays, with no details as to when the loan would fund. Multiple emails and text and conversations later we never got anything but excuses & our loan did not fund, this caused multitude of problems on my part because I had other lenders that were waiting on this money to be used as a refinance on over $32+ million worth of farmland real estate property. One of my other lenders got impatient, and called the notes and accelerated a foreclosure, which would have triggered a federal Bankruptcy. The lenders involved that signed off with me on this restructure loan, did back down on the foreclosure proceedings, for 30 days. But we are still not funded inside the time period of the loan contract of 75 days for our first tranche of funds.To this day some 125 days later, we have not yet been funded one penny. At this point, We have gotten no response is with any truth or transparency or explanation.These companies and their loan products have affected many others who have come together through different relations over the Internet. Several others are also filing multiple complaints and reports to get to the bottom of this problem with these particular lenders.

    Several of us are now thinking this is an elaborate complex integral ponzi scheme.

    One of four owners of Genie Investment NV is David Hughes

    The principal owner of Zoomeral is also David Hughes

    Mcmann Commercial Lending, Zoomeral, and Genie Investments


    We started the application process with McMann Commercial Lending for a BELOC loan December we wired a $7,900 application fee for this LOAN then we wired a $37,500 on a bridge loan. (On a loan we where told they SCC) and 20,000 due diligence fee to Zoomeral/ David Hughes on 1/11/2023 At that point, We were verbally guaranteed, lots of emails, text as well as guaranteed within our contract, that we’d receive the funding of our first tranche (20% of loan) in no later than 75 calendar days and then the funding of our second tranche (80% of loan) in no later than 75 calendar days from the funding date of our first tranche. Around 75 days of waiting, we started asking about our funding. anytime we asked about our loan we received messages similar to or exactly like this plus a text and e-mail updates. One of the e-mail updates sent on 3/23 stated that the bank had placed a hold on the account due to the size of the deposits coming into and going out of the account and that attorneys were working to get the hold released. Then we received an e-mail on 4/03 stating that the hold had been released. On 5/10 we were told through e-mail that McMann attorneys were handling a compliance issue and that it should be resolved by Friday 5/12 and that the funding should be happening the week of 5/15 to 5/20. We are currently at 8 months of waiting for the funding of our money. I have received many text message, verbal calls, and letters. Excuse after excuse. Michael Lanza with McMann Lending would not call me back I would text him and he would not respond but maybe every 30 texts later but never over the phone.

    I have tried many times to get a refund. Walt Trock refuses saying 7900.00 was non refundable. You sold me this loan that you can’t get. I sent 57,500.00 to Genie Investments which now I find out David Hughes is the owner of Zoomeral the platform and Genie Investments. David Hughes does nothing but threaten me if I leave a review or speak with anyone regards this he will cancel my loan. That is why I have not posted up till now. I have personally received many threats of cancellation verbal and in letters from Mcmann Commercial Lending and Genie Investments/Zoomeral. Last week Walt Trock had admitted to me verbally and in text messages there is no money he totally blames Genie Investments/David Hughes. Walt Trock also told me he had not been paid off of 1 BELOC in over 2 years with David Hughes. I question why do I have all kind of proof that Michael Lanza saying he has never had to wait past 80 days? When there is people waiting 2 years? Up until this week Mcmann is still selling this loan. When I spoke to David Hughes yesterday If you express yourself he gets angry and refuses to listen and says he will block you and cancel your loan. As hard as it is I have been extremely patient with each of them. David Hughes offered me to give him another 3k and he may can get another loan. David Hughes also sent me a letter explain they are suing their capital provider. They refuse to tell you who is their capital provider and show proof . He saying he will try to get our deposit back or partial back threw a law suit to this capital provider. Ok, shut me up another couple of years to see if this law suit even comes to past. When you have my money. It should be in an escrow send it BACK! That is the right thing to do when you cannot give people what you promised but Mcmann Commercial Lending and David Hughes/Zoomeral/ Genie Investments refuses! I didn’t want to believe I was being scammed but my opinion is yes I have been.

    @Charles Stringer I am sorry you are going through this. I too went through Zoomeral and was connected with Genie Investments. They had a favorable term sheet so I signed it and sent in my initial deposit of $8k, but then once I saw their contract and how they were just legally signing as "Genie Investments" instead of a real person's name I backed off. Yes, that $8k is never going to come back, but if a group apparently willing to get me a $30M line of credit is unable to be professional enough to provide real references and real signatures then you can't trust them to actually get you those funds.

    Absolutely why I didn’t sign with them. They wouldn’t or couldn’t provide reference to loans they funded.

    Get these men in JAIL! They are criminals! If you have experienced fraud with McMann Commercial Lending and Genie Investments report them to the FTC, and the FBI.  Lets work together to these guys in jail! I personally have lost over $90k with these criminals. 

    Walter Trock, McMann (also working under an new company name, McMann Capital and McMann Financial)

    Michael Lanza, McMann (same as above)

    David Hughes, Genie Investments, also is the owner of Zoomeral

    Mike Conner, Genie Investments, also owner of Zoomeral.

    Stay away from all them!
