Recently moved to the south Chicago suburbs.  I am looking to invest in an owner-occupied multifamily property and start my investing career. Look forward to learning and helping others.

Welcome to Chicagoland! I've lived my whole life here (in Dupage, Cook, Will and Kane counties). It's a very diverse market - you can find just about anything for any price depending on what town you want to invest in. House hacking is definitely a great way to start! Wish I had known about it years ago. Let me know if you have any questions about the area!

@Kat Malkowski I am looking in the entire Chicagoland area, but primarily focused on the southwest suburbs (Oak Park west to Wheaton, and Oak Park south to Mokena). I'vee been studying the market for a while now and few opportunities have presented themselves as viable for an owner occupy investment while also leveraging the VA loan's 0% down. Any suggeestions on locations or where to find a deal before it hits the market?
