Best blue tooth speakers that you can secure for STR?

I’m looking to add some blue tooth speakers for indoor space and outdoor pool patio for short term rental home.

I need to be able to secure them so guests aren’t tempted to take them and move/ destroy. Any suggestions ?

Many soundbars for TVs allow Bluetooth connections alternatively to the tv audio.  Guests could connect to that to play tunes and it would sound good, also not likely to be stolen.  Sony, Yamaha, and even Vizio make good ones with subwoofers

Actually, maybe rethink the whole idea....most people I know bring their own portable Bluetooth player (if they're really into music). With all of the possible objections mentioned above, it seems simpler to just pass on the whole thing....just my .02.

I have been thinking of adding a Amazon Echo. Works as a BT speaker but then can play any kind of music once you setup a special Amazon account for it.

I did buy one, but haven't set it up yet. I was concerned some people might freak out with all the Echo listening in on you stuff.

Essentially Bluetooth speakers are meant to be portable for the most part. Anything that is more permanent are really quite expensive.

It is a risk that they could grow legs. We have a clause in our rental agreement that says you take something from the house, you pay a minimum $100 no matter what it is.  Someone took the $5 waffle maker, said they really liked it so they figured they would grab it when I asked them about it. I charged them $100 for it. They were pissed.

Great idea! I just got a Polk soundbar for my home TV and it does have a great sound and bluetooth ability. Instead of just sitting it below the TV, I got a little kit for $7 that connects it to the TV.

Do not buy an Echo. It can be used to monitor people, by yourself or a hacker, and that may scare more guests than it serves.

I wouldn't buy a bluetooth speaker because it's likely to be stolen. Or they'll take it with them to the park or something and "accidentally" forget to bring it into the house. I bet you'd have to replace it regularly.

If you are going to get something with Bluetooth, I would consider an entire stereo system that's easier to bolt down and less likely to disappear.

Seems cheaper and simpler to just run wires to standard speakers.
