How do I go back to the old layout?

Question

I have a 13” tablet and today when I logged in I was given a new layout for the forums.

The left 1/4th was home/tools/etc..

The next 1/4th was forum categories, even after I had chosen one

The third 4th, about 2-3 inches wide is the forum area, the useful part

And the last fourth is back to stats

The 3rd fourth is the only part I care about and the part I want to use to read and post on forums. It’s being limited to less than the width of a smartphone on a device 6 times larger. I can’t imagine what it is on a smart phone, 1/2 of an inch?

It’s like they want to make sure nobody uses the forums.

I guess they don’t directly drive revenue,. Though you’d think they’d lose ad revenue as people switch to other sites.

I thought it was just my computer.....I actually liked the old layout from a few couple ago.....the more they change it, the worser it gets.

It is getting ridiculous. I'm on a 32 inch monitor, with 4 columns of shortcuts and widgets on the right side, but lose fully 50% of remaining screen space to space hogs. If the multiple side bars were able to be re-sized by "grabbing" and dragging, or hidden with the click of a small directional tab, that would be acceptable, and what most of the good sites I follow routinely utilize.

Those are back of house questions not ones I would know the answer to - but they do solicit and read the feedback. I think there was more optimization done for phones this time around because the new layout is definitely more phone friendly, at least from an Android point of view. But yeah on a monitor screen not so great.
