For those who started wholesaling, how important was having a mentor or experienced investor in your corner?

I’ve been learning the business and building my wholesale company, and I’m trying to determine how much value a mentor can really provide versus learning through trial and error.

For those who have had a mentor:

• How did you find them?
• What did they actually help you with?
• Did having a mentor help you close your first deal faster?
• Did they help you avoid expensive mistakes?
• What is something you learned from your mentor that you probably wouldn’t have learned on your own?
• Looking back, would you say having a mentor was worth it?

And for those who didn’t have a mentor:

• How did you learn wholesaling?
• What mistakes did you make early on?
• Do you wish you had someone experienced guiding you?
• Would you recommend getting a mentor to someone starting today?
