I am looking for a good independent cleaner for a house in Minneapolis and I am having a heck of a time finding a good one. Does anyone know any good ones?
Hey Aiden! This is a nationwide group where 98% of us cannot help you much at all. Besides some apps like Turno I highly recommend you join some local host Facebook groups to connect with cleaners directly or at least get some good recommendations. Good luck!
What part of Minneapolis and how many beds? I'd include those plus whether laundry is done on site when you ask for referrals. A cleaner may cover the neighborhood but not have room for a same-day turnover with six loads of laundry. Saves a lot of back and forth.
Finding reliable turnover teams in secondary or non-vacation markets is one of the biggest operational hurdles for out-of-state owners.
When local turnover cleaners are hard to source, setting up automated dispatch via software (like TurnoverBnB/Turno or Hospitable) connected directly to your calendar helps cast a wider net for independent cleaners.
Also, providing a photo-based digital checklist with mandatory photo uploads for key areas (linen closet, fridge, amenities) helps keep quality high even when you can't be on-site to inspect.
I would pay for one trial turnover before handing over a live reservation. Give the cleaner the same checklist and photos they would receive normally, then inspect the beds, bathroom edges, kitchen reset and supply counts yourself. Also ask who covers when they are unavailable. A great individual cleaner without a backup plan can still leave you exposed.
