One thing I’ve noticed about short-term rental investing is that purchasing the property is only part of the financial picture.
Between furnishing, renovations, maintenance, unexpected repairs, and seasonal fluctuations in bookings, having access to additional capital can make a big difference.
I’m Nick with 850Floyd Financial, and I work with business owners and real estate investors who need access to funding.
There are several financing options worth exploring depending on your situation:
* 0% APR business credit cards with introductory periods of 6–12 months * Business lines of credit * Revenue-based funding for businesses with established revenue * Business loans for qualified borrowers
Some options are based primarily on personal credit and business structure, while others consider the revenue your business generates. How the funds can be used depends on the lender and financing program.
I think one of the biggest advantages an investor can have is access to capital before an unexpected expense or new opportunity comes along.
I'm curious how other STR owners approach this.
Are you using your own cash to furnish, renovate, and expand your properties, or are you leveraging business financing to help preserve your available capital?
Would be interested in hearing what’s working for everyone.
I paid cash for purchase and renovations on both my STRs. If interest rates had been lower I may have financed but they weren't and paying cash made my offers clean and strong.
