I like Sherwin Williams Proclassic alkyd acrylic, personally.

We install modern lighting almost all bought online, spending $500-$600 per unit (for example we often buy 3 light acrylic "crystal" vanity lights for less than $10 that are *super* popular.)

But "Bob" likes etching and someone made a super cool acrylic window shutter (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/...) that totally updates the space without any demo. 

Usually, for acrylic painter's caulk, you run a 16d framing nail or 3-inch decking screw down the nozzle and tape it closed with premium-quality green or blue painter's tape.

Tile beats Acrylic any day of the week.I've never used this product but to me it just seems like a standard acrylic tub surround with some clever marketing.

Looks like the shower in a day outfits put up plywood backer, then the acrylic panels that look like tile.

After ripping all of that out, we will need to decide if we go easy with an acrylic/fiberglass 3 pc tub surround OR the more difficult job of tiling the whole thing above the tub.FACTS:  We have never tiled before.
