Robert Freeborn Possible Timberland Property

I am not an expert at that area by any means but plantation style stands of timber will yield far more MBF per acre than naturally seeded.out our way we have to replant after harvest but we do it differently one because its quite a bit more rugged and mountainous. you can't really plant in rows.. so we just plant say 500 tress per acre with the expectation that 100 are going to survive given deer and other malady's  then when they start to grow nice you can thin them for spacing and the other big thing were we live is to limb them when they are young so you get a nice slick for log  your first 40 footer with no limbs.. that will have no knots.. that's what the goal.. is..
