Some other factors to think about besides the government legalities would be HOA requirements and how are neighbors currently reacting to STR in their neighborhoods.

Funny thing, I am native to Los Angeles and when I flew out to Indy to see some properties and get a feel for the city I drove through the "war zones" during the day and at night and boy oh boy was it a cute little area in comparison to Compton of the 90's.

It reacts to outside elements like a science experiment, it grows and atrophies like the used and unused muscles in our body…and then on the other side it barely even exists.
