Are these actually any improvement over a well formulated Excel spreadsheet?

For me that new skill is home inspection.....being able to tour a property and visually spot the defects and deficiencies is valuable when formulating the price to offer when buying.

Take the ingredients of what the market is now and work it backwards, formulate what is a solution that has demand and a profit margin. 

If so, what has been your experience in formulating an exit strategy? 

And, some of the above can be interpreted in multiple ways because it has never been clearly formulated.

Can't always formulate a process to consistently & accurately deliver this info efficiently.

Perhaps I didn't formulate my question very clearly in my original post, but it's basically: if terms are "good" for Americans, and "****" for non-Americans, is there something "in between" for foreign nationals partnering up with a creditworthy American?
