One legal site states "mum's the word" as a tenant could claim that you disclosed personal information or that they were defamed - and not to mention the social media bashing.

I'm going to get bashed for this, but as an investor in NJ with a multi million dollar portfolio myself, living off cash flow from rentals is a myth, especially in NJ.

These posts become circular: bash the investor for making poor decisions, bash the investment without knowledge of the details, bash the city without knowing where the properties are located, and share stories about how they should have invested.If my company hadn't been mentioned, I wouldn't have posted on it because these posts rarely actually help without better detail.  

I am working with them, so I am being careful not to bash them, but I will try to be honest. 

There are a lot of people bashing the strategy right now, but I know a lot of investors who have been successful with it.

He's getting infinite return on his /usr/bin/bash investment while you're staring at 0k trapped equity and a 5% annual return that doesn't exist in year 1 anyway.Here's the deal: Take a 65/35 split in your favor until your equity is fully returned to you (not a preferred return that "accrues" -- actually returned).

This is NOT a bash on religion, but in Matthew 7:15, Jesus says "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves."

Not looking to bash Airbnb or Milwaukee, just trying to sanity-check this and learn how others are thinking about risk mitigation after something that feels like a true outlier and has caused a lot of lost sleep.
