@Cara AnnI’ve had a few rentals with unfinished attic access, and the simplest solution is adding a short lease note saying the attic is unfinished and for storage only, the tenant must keep the door closed and locked at all times, report any signs of pests or issues right away, make no changes or repairs, and allow landlord access with notice for inspections or maintenance.
