The inspector has limited knowledge on circuit panels, grounding and does not want to get sued being wrong.You can eMail to the contractors and start asking them what you want to address.

If an inspector gets called and gets access to the property and finds unpermitted work, they can issue citations or require you to redo everything to current building code which can be expensive and time‑consuming.And if you’re selling your property, retail buyers get nervous fast when unpermitted work shows up during inspections.
