Business Plan

I'm beginning to work on a business plan for investing in MHPs. I have a template that I found online that looked pretty good, so I will be using that as a guide. What I am looking for now are resources that I can reference when documenting industry trends, economic outlook and local area statistics.

Much of what I am using now comes from census.gov, hud.gov so I need more on industry trends.

If you have created a plan for MHP in the past, I'd love to see yours if you don't mind sharing.

I consider this an important part of moving into this investment avenue. I know I have a lot to consider and going through this process will help me understand if the park I have in mind will truly be a good purchase.

Thanks in advance

Hi Bryan. There's a member on this site, J Scott, he has a website www.123flip.com, that has a business plan for multi-unit investing. I know it's not mobile homes but it is a plan that maybe you could use for guidance. I haven't checked it out yet but if you go to his site you can get a copy free if you give your name and email address. It also says it includes spread sheets, contract templates, and more. I hope this helps. I am new to real estate and I too will soon have to come up with a business plan and will need an example to follow. Good luck with your plan!

Bryan, there is a mobile homes forum here under real estate investing/landlord tenant forums. Try posting a question there. - Ned

Hi Ned, I thought that's where I did post this. Can you move it if I would get a better response?

    Hi Bryan,

I would love to see your business plan of MHP investing and/or what you have so far. I will of course share with you my thoughts and plans. As of this point I have no formal Business plan in place.

    Thanks for starting this thread.

    Talk soon,
    John Fedro

I'd like to see your plan, too, Bryan. I'm interested in MHPs and own a good number of MBs on land. I might have bought a MHP by now if they offered as much depreciation as apartments.

John Fedro Jon Klaus It's my first time putting together a business plan so I know it needs some work. Plus I never got to use it as the seller decided not to sell. Anyway, here's the plan http://www.biggerpockets.com/files/361/download

    Feedback is welcome.
