Hello,
My name is Michael Baisden. Im a newbie thats looking to get into real estate. Im a general contractor interested in eventually rehabbing houses but would like to start out "Bird dogging" for other investors as i am currently looking to purchase my primary residence and come across quite a few properties daily doing so. Im located in the north west suburbs, ie.,Lake in the hills, Crystal Lake, Algonquin, ect.. and plan to focus primarily in this area. Looking to network with investors, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and real estate attorneys.

Welcome to the online family that is Bigger Pockets! I too am from Chicagoland, although I live near Wrigley Field in the city. Mike is right, you should get out and visit some REI Clubs. You will find they are not alike at all. But you need to get out to them an meet those that are "doing" and not just "talking" or selling you stuff.
