I'm relatively new here and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I’m based in California and currently have a long-term rental here. While I’ve been involved in real estate for a while, I’m now looking to expand into multifamily investing.

I’m actively seeking opportunities to join multifamily deals as either a General Partner (GP) or Limited Partner (LP), particularly in California but also in the Midwest (Wisconsin and Minnesota). I’m still new to multifamily but I’m learning more every day and excited to grow in this space. My goal is to eventually syndicate, but I’m also open to Joint Ventures (JVs) as I get more involved.

I’d be happy to chat with anyone and talk about my skill set and what I bring to the table. I’m eager to connect and learn from those who are further along in the multifamily journey.

Looking forward to connecting!

Hey Sahil, welcome to BiggerPockets! It’s great to see your enthusiasm for multifamily investing and your openness to partnerships.

Since you’re interested in GP and LP opportunities, there are plenty of ways to get involved:
Many investors are raising capital for value-add multifamily deals in Ohio, especially in Columbus and Cincinnati. You may find great opportunities to co-GP or invest as an LP in stabilized, cash-flowing assets. Given Ohio's lower purchase prices, JV partnerships are common here, making it easier to co-own properties without needing a full syndication structure. If you're looking for a mix of equity growth and cash flow, many Ohio investors use the BRRRR method or reposition distressed multifamily assets to maximize returns.

I’d be happy to connect and discuss more about multifamily investing in Ohio, potential deal flow, or introductions to local property managers, lenders, and contractors.

@Sahil Tadwalkar I'm glad to hear you are looking to LP & JV before getting into sponsoring a syndication. I've sponsored 6 deals so far. I'm not planning any new ones at the moment but would be happy to meet and discuss future opportunities.

I've done many LP/GP deals myself! Happy to connect and make some introductions/answer any questions you have!

    Welcome to the community!

Great to see you expanding into multifamily! I work with investors (including foreign nationals) looking to enter or scale in the U.S. market. California and the Midwest have some interesting dynamics—are you focusing on value-add deals or stabilized assets?

Would love to exchange insights and hear more about your approach to JVs vs. syndications. Let’s connect!
