Discovering real estate investing in Dallas area

I really wanted to be a real investor. But never got around because of lack knowledge. I just discovered bigger pocket couple of days ago and I am really excited about the information available and the huge community available. I am exploring investment opportunities in Dallas area currently ( as i am still deiscovering i am open to other areas as well).
