The one that got away
No deal.
The ones that "got away".
Oftentimes, early investors mistake a "no" for a waste. It may feel that way in the moment but when you peel back the soil just enough.. You begin to notice something most don't see..
The "no" may not have been a "no", it may have been fear. It may have been lack of understanding. It may have been the invisible pressure someone felt. It may have been a feeling of under supportedness. There's a lot of variable and the mind HATES uncertainty..
That doesn't mean you've failed. It's just data and more opportunities to try again. I think we may all agree, this day and age is a different time than most. Things sped up after the pandemic. Operations became rigid. Folks become more guarded than ever. And that's not because anyone is inherently bad. The world just shifted..
There's beauty inside it and we must... Steward the conditions to create something newly beautiful.
The objections you may encounter, aren't verdicts on you. Nor your worth. Nor who you truly are. They're signals and those can be worked through.
Transparency is crucial.
Tone, attitude and kindness create conditions of openness.
Love is our natural frequency and people can feel that, even from a distance, inside a phone.
The deals don't magically slip away. It's not some cosmic test against your character. Just be honest.
And most importantly:
Let go.
The moment we start to focus on the outcome, we've already established a plan to fail..
^Read that again^
Life isn't concrete, it flows.
You're already successful, even when you haven't visibly seen it yet.
Seeds don't become visible past the soil overnight.. Why would you be any different?
"Don't try, just do."
