Hi Everyone! My husband and I are new investors and we are starting our by Wholesaling. We're in the Troy, MI area (about 30-40 min from Detroit). Specifically, we're focusing on Oakland County, MI right now. I'm really excited to meet everyone I can and network around the BiggerPockets site. I'm in Florida but I have a friend or 2 in the Oakland County Michigan area. I hear they have a good REI group there. My friend Jerry Norton does about 10 to 15 rehabs at a time. He's a great guy and if you run into him tell him I said hello.

We're on the other side of the state in Kalamazoo. We don't do any wholesaling, but if you run across any short sales you'd like to refer, we would love to pay you a referral fee!
I get properties mostly in Wayne county, but do get some occasionally in Oakland. I set up land contract notes and look to sell to investors at discounted cash prices. It is more of a passive investment, annual returns are 13-18% cash flowing 600 a month. All homeowners are qualified. If you would like to hear more please send me a message. Thanks, and good luck!
Welcome to bigger pockets! I live near Grand Rapids Michigan but visit Troy often to see my family. I'd love to connect with you to learn more about what you're doing seeings how I'm new to wholesaling myself. With that in mind I do have a question for anyone interested in answering. I've read numerous books on wholesaling and it's definitely the niche I'm going to be working in but I'm also hearing that it may be illegal?? Any thoughts on this, and what's the best way to practice this kind of real estate without getting in any legal trouble? Thanks everyone!
