Do you subscribe to the county recorders website in your area?

Newbie question... Do you subscribe or pay to access the county your wanting to do business in? I think I'm finding it to be a must if you want to actually do any research on properties. The initial cost is $150 and that's for the Digital recorder services agreement data services agreement, and then there's other options that are alot more.

You don't need electronic recordings... you need access to Land Records. There should be a way to do this research for free.
