How do I gain more assets

How do I gain more assets? I’ve looked up stocks and bonds but no direct information about how to invest properly without losing money?do you guys have any suggestions like books or videos especially for a beginner at 19?

You will have to be more specific about your question to get any actionable answer. What do you want these assets to accomplish for you?

1. You gain more assets by having cash to pay for them or convincing someone to loan you money to buy them.

2. There is no proper way to invest. I depends on your knowledge, skills, abilities, goals, time horizon, risk tolerance... What works for me may not work for you. That's ok.

If you want a risk free asset, put your money in a checking account. They are insured up to $250k b the FDIC.

At 19 the best thing you can invest in is yourself. Get educated on the basis of finance, time value of money, interest, inflation, the mechanics of stocks, bonds, commodities, , real estate, different financial vehicles like IRAs, 401ks, HSAs ect.

Most importantly, don't look for what has worked best for others. Find what type of investing has worked best for others who have the same goals, skills, risk tolerance, and time horizon as you.
