New to Chicago and Looking to do my first House Hack

Hello Bigger Pockets Fam!

I’m looking to do my first house hack in a safe and profitable area south/southwest/west of the loop.

I’m looking for recommendations on areas and investor savvy realtors and lenders.

@Paul De Luca  thanks for the shout out!  

@Nicole Scott depending on your size and budget Ive seen some solid 2-4 unit deals done recently on the west side of Pilsen and portions of Bridgeport.  Both areas are seeing solid growth and have price points slightly lower compared to some area on the NW side like Logan Square and Avondale.

    @Mark Ainley thanks for the shout out. @Nicole Scott I would love to connect. The west and southwest sides have a lot of great areas for house hacking. All areas are competitive these days, but we have sold very solid house hack deals recently in Humboldt Park, Portage Park and Little Village. We also have sold several great deals in the near west suburbs in La Grange, Berwyn and Forest Park. Once you locate a few areas you like, you have to start running numbers to build the analysis muscle so you are ready to pounce when a great deal shows up.

    @Nicole Scott - Wow already a ton of rockstars on your forum post already!  I'd recommend any of the people above and will throw a couple of other names into the hat because networking with all these people is key to becoming a successful real estate investor.

    @Eudith Vacio is a really great agent asset if you are looking on the South/West side of Chicago.  She'll really understands what you are looking for and provides great service.  Also, from a financing perspective, I'd be sure to talk with @Michael Barbari and @Michael Facchini.  

    What type of price point are you going to be looking at?
