Any good markets that you can find a 3bed for 350k or less?

I live in California. Wondering if there are any good neighborhoods out of state where a 3 bedroom (preferably 3 bath) can be found for under 350k? 

Bonus: if the neighborhood/city is safe for a family with kids.
