Hi Everyone! I just started a blog titled "Adventure in Making a Better LIfe" Follow us in our crazy decision as we go cold turkey, quit our jobs and move to Colorado to start investing in real estate full time. I will detail everything we do and how well it worked, things that I'm learning/reading, etc. It should be a wild ride!!

Hah, good question Jeff S.! Our main reason to move to CO is to be closer to my family (raising 2 small kids with a husband who travels a ton and no parents to help is kinda awful :) ), but our experience after trying to find a house on the MLS in April and May in the Denver area is that buyers are not as competitive, houses are moving more slowly and things are not nearly as crazy. I don't know how or if that will translate to a marketing campaign focused on motivated sellers, but we'll see!! What is your story??

Kind of a learn as you go. There are many ways to skin a cat (no offense to cats) so it is all good. I am retired and just bought a house that had a fire. Learning as you go too. It is fun for me because I am already eating so low pressure and fun.

Good luck Amanda, I love the start of your blog about making your goals huge to challenge you. I have the same philosophy.
AS for Denver, it is pretty competitive as well. I just listed my friends house for $294,900 and we thought that was high based on the comps. He had a $295,000 cash offer within 8 hours and a 300k financed offer within 12 hours.
