Texas laws on reaching out to properties in pre foreclosure

Hi Everyone!

Was curious if anyone has any idea on the laws in texas about reaching out to individuals that are in pre foreclosure? Illegal? Not illegal?

I don't want to get in any legal issues about reaching to property owners in distress!

As long as you are not a debt collector, there are no restrictions on unrelated 3rd parties contacting preforeclosure owners. I have sent letters/post cards, knocked on doors, etc.
