I moved back to my small home town. There's not a lot of networking opportunities like in the big cities here. I'm thinking of mailing a letter to all the landlords address's in the area off of data on the county records. In order to introduce myself and ask if they want to get a coffee and chat.
I've already joined the local chamber of commerce for their networking events. So that's one step forward.
1) A facebook group for investors/landlords in your area. It may take some time to develop, but as you do find these other landlords make sure to point them to your group.
2) Start a meetup. Just like the FB group, this will start small, but will grow with time. My wife and I host ours at a local winery since we like wine. The way we see it, if no one shows up, its our monthly date night with some wine!
@Brandon Rush Yes, I have already started a real estate Facebook page/group before I moved back to my hometown. It is slow but I met one new friend who is interested in real estate and is working in my hometown.

Hey Juan,
I think it's a great idea. I say you send out a post card introducing yourself, with your contact info and your Facebook page URL. Even if they don't want to call you, they may jump online and join your group. Go for it!
