Looking for a mastermind or networking group

I'm an active commercial real estate investor who is interested in joining a networking or mastermind group. Unfortunately most of what I've been able to find online are groups that either focus of house flipping or are over the top full of hype.
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a group that is comprised of smart serious commercial real estate investors. I don't particularly care where the group holds its meetings and cost is of a secondary concern if the group is comprised of the right types of individuals.
Appreciate your thoughts-Mark

@Mark S. If you cannot find any groups locally, then you have a couple of options:
1) Find a virtual group where you can network with like-mined investors
2) Start your own local group by invitation only and invite people that you believe would complement each other skills set
If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

@Mark S. I'm involved with a small investor group in North Carolina that targets underperforming self storage, multi family and mobile home parks. Currently have two self storages and one MHP. Contract pending for a third self storage and negotiating for a small multi fam. I'd be interested in organizing a virtual group to look at deals, discuss structures, talk about funding sources.

@ Mark S. - why not start your own mastermind group? This way you can screen for people who are like-minded.

Thanks for the thoughts. I know it sounds lazy but I'd rather avoid the heavy lifting of starting a mastermind group (I've done it once it is a LOT of work).

Hey Mark!
We have a Self Storage Mastermind that meets quarterly for those folks who are "players" in the Self Storage arena who either have access to Deal Flow and/or capital looking for a place to park it.
I'd be happy to speak with you about it - please either PM me or check it out on the internet.
(Please note that I don't mean to be coy with that last comment, but since there's so much "self-promotion" one is allowed to do on BP, I prefer to toe the line & err on the side of caution, plus it's at the top of the search engine page right after the ads.)
Thanks!
Scott

I host a virtual mastermind group. About half of our members are currently focused on commercial via apartment complexes and mobile home communities.

I'll let you know if I learn of anything. Lots of "get rich quick in real estate" groups and then other for institutional investors. Need something in between.

@Jay Helms I'd like to learn more about that group as well. I'm in Modesto, CA. While I only have 8 units here, I'm working on a syndication in a nearby town - excited to learn more in the space. Please shoot over the info!

@Mark S. if you haven't already, ask some other people you know if they are part of a group. I asked everyone I knew in apartment investing and no one around me did so I started one. The work isn't overwhelming if you put systems in place. Good luck!

@Mark S. My favorite mastermind ecosystem is Entrepreneurs Organization (EO). I'm in two masterminds (one for my operating company and one exclusive to real estate operator/entrepreneurs).

@Mark S. also attending Rod Khleif's Mastermind group soon. Haven't been yet but I know a lot of the ballers who are currently in it! Probably best suited for apartments.

Hi Mark, I actually might join a mastermind group with the creator of my current Multifamily Investor Nation group i'm in, Dan Handford. He lives in the Carolina's and is starting one up as he is apart of a few himself. He owns over 1300 units and has 5 chiropractic offices as well, so he knows what he is doing for sure. PM me and i can get you in contact with him pretty quickly.
