beer/wine sales profitibility for market

Generally, does a market that sells beer/wine do much better than without? Basically, does selling beer and wine make a big difference? What would be some drawbacks if any?

thank you all in advance

That's a very broad question but there's some things that may be helpful to consider. The liquor laws in the US vary greatly for each geographic area.  I'm not familiar with the liquor laws in your area but I've lived in some cities that only provide X number of liquor licenses in a square mile.  So obviously if the area has hit that limit then bar owners or liquor store operators probably wouldn't be your target market.

I think the key here is: "Who is your target market?"

If your target market cares about liquor sales...well then you better start caring about liquor sales.

    Hope that helps.
