How to make sure it’s a mix use commercial property in upstate NY

Dear BP friends,

I came across an opportunity to purchase a mixed use commercial space with two apartments attached. And I am uncertain how to make sure this is actually true￼￼￼￼￼. Meaning, how can I check online for free to see if the building is actually a mixed use commercial space with two apartments?

Or is there another easy way to check before I drive two hours to meet with the seller??

County tax assessor, city zoning, if you go under contract, can get it added to survey. Check BPP tax rolls as well.

Also the the regional building authority may have a searchable data base.

Here in Colorado I would start with the county assessor and see how the building is being taxed. Check to see if the county. Search Google 'Delaware ny county assessor'
