Hello. I'm looking at buying a property in the Dallas area.  I don't know the area at all. Anyone here familiar with the Dallas area, specifically the Hollywood / Santa monica area of Dallas?

Happy to assist you in DFW area.   What attracts you specifically to this area?  Typically it is older buildings and not really on new investors radars?

@Marc Shin Beware of the ever increasing property taxes in the North Texas markets.

I have a family member whose taxes have increased 100% in the last 4 years. They’re in an area close to Dallas but not Dallas proper. This is with properties in 3 different communities.

Hi @Marc Shin - A new Universal Studios is being built in Frisco TX (a suburb of Dallas) that I find interesting. It's set to open in 2026 - I think that will be big for that area and short-term rentals. I have a great Realtor contact who focuses on investors in the area. I am happy to send you his information - he has a whole STR investment neighborhood guide for the Dallas Metro area.

Have you thought about investing in Kentucky? It's a great area with excellent investment opportunities.

Best of luck with your search!
