Starting reads for buying first apartment complex?

Question

Hi, I've bought quite a bit of single and multifamily properties but I'm looking to step things up toward apartment complexes. Are there any detailed posts or books you'd recommend for learning what I'm getting myself into? Key factors to look for? Red flags? Thanks!!!

Brian Burke’s book how to invest passively in syndications is a great read as well, even though you may want to invest yourself, knowing what other people are looking for may allow you to build your structure accordingly.

All of the suggestions above are great for this! Best Ever Apartment Syndication Book by Joe Fairless I feel is the most actionable and full in depth book for this if you are looking to syndicate the deals. Other actionable books that actually come with a 90 plan for accomplishing this are Lifetime cash flow through MF properties by Rod Khleif or Financial Freedom with Real Estate Investing by Michael Blank! My advice would be to pick one of these and truly commit to following through each step it tells you to do, no shortcuts. If you do this you will be in a great position for apartment syndication.

I'll add 'The Hands-off Investor' by Brian Burke - while it's about investing passively in syndications the amount of information in there that can be applied to being a syndicator is great.
