Real Estate Podcasts - Scam or Real??

Question

Hey All,

I've been inundated with like automated messages or emails to appear on a podcast. The majority of them seem like auto responses, AI, drip email campaigns or just like a third party scheduling service that some podcasts or lead gen companies are paying for.

I've been on two recently & actually enjoyed it so wouldn't mind doing more as a guest, but how do you discern from the good and bad.

With my two so far, one was great & then the second one was an interesting experience to say the least. How do you usually go about it, because the one that went well in my opinion was a brand new podcast but the established one was just run not the greatest and could have probably been avoided.

I have gotten inundated recently with requests from new podcasts launching which I know longer due as they let everyone and anyone on them and do not have a following so I do not think it is best use of time for my business. They are fun usually but I would just warn people that not all podcasts are good to be on, especially if it turns out the sponsor was a scammer.

Podcasts are just another sales platform.  That's their purpose/function.  The content cannot be deemed accurate to anyone other than the person presenting it.  If you enjoy them, tune in.  I would prefer to run my business.

Like anything else on here, jump over to Linked In to look up the person's background. If they've got a long time background in the field, then listen. If they were doing something totally different and then all of a sudden became a "subject matter expert", turn it off. I see something interesting on here and jump over to look them up often. Sometimes it's good and I want to connect. Other times its obvious they are pretenders. The background, experience, and resume are everything.

I've been on a few myself.  I too enjoyed them and got great responses from them.  How do you know which ones are legit?  After you are invited, visit the site and check out the previous ones.
