The short answer is yes. It is as good as any other place to invest.

Real estate seems to be less expensive in the area. I have a couple of properties in my area just not sure if I want to invest in another state. Concerned about repairs and managing.

There will always be worries and concerns, but with a professional PM company in place managing them for you then you should be fine.
