Perks to becoming an accredited investor?

Are there perks to becoming an accredited investor if one is planning to just invest in SFH/MFH? Does the designation help in building networks or being looked upon more favorably by lenders?

I think on its face  the major perk is that you have achieved a level of income and net worth that puts you in the top probably 5 to 10% of all Americans and for that there is a feeling of accomplishment..

but on a transactional side it opens up as others have stated many different investment vehicles that are only open to accredited investors.. but choose wisely !!!  not all are great or will do well.
