I am moving back to Rexburg for school. I am looking for ways to gain real world experience in real estate investing. There is alot of information regarding the topic of REI, however I believe that all of the podcast and books I have read have been helpful, but it is time for me to take action. I am looking for advice in ways to enter this industry and start learning.
A bit about me. I am currently studying construction management and business management. I was first introduced to real estate investing in 2016 and have been building my skills and knowledge since. Do any of you know a good way to enter the industry? I am looking for opportunities to network in my local area, and people who could use some help with anything real estate related. Any advice or direction will be appreciated.

@Spencer Davis That's great you have been preparing yourself, but like you said it is time to take action. Depending on your situation you could potentially do a house hack. But if you aren't ready to buy anything, I would suggest at least start working with local investors or with a property management company. Or since you are studying construction management, start working with some contractors and get real experience learning the cost to build and repair/replace things so that when you do a flip or wholesale something you will have real knowledge on the actual costs involved. If nothing else there are plenty of local investors who you could offer to help on any of their properties, even if it is something small. Just to build a relationship and have an opportunity to ask questions and learn from them. So it all will depend on what you are willing and able to do. There are many different roads you can take.
