Investment in Self-directed IRA for $10-15k?

Hi,

I am wondering what other people do with the extra cash in their Self-directed IRA's that is not enough to do a promissory note or buy a house?

I have between $10-15k to invest and I don't know what to invest it in within the Self-directed IRA?

Thanks for any ideas!

Anja

Precious metals and tax liens would be a few options.

Vanguard index mutual funds, which is liquid and can be pulled out anytime when you have move funds to do another deal

How about a 2nd to help an investor finish a rehab project. Let them know that they will need to split profits with you in addition to 12% interest rate. How about buying a non performing first or second note. Get it performing again and get a long term payment coming in.
