Looking for Accountant with Real Estate Experience in Denver, CO

Hey Everyone,

I'm in the Denver area and I have several properties out of state. I'm looking for an Accountant or CPA that has experience with real estate and understanding the tax laws. It would be great if they're in the Denver area as well, but they don't have to be. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

@Enoch Fredericks I use Long Law Group for business entity setup and accounting in Denver.  They have a real estate focus and have been great to work with. Call Karson to set something up.

    There are quite a few CPAs on here who post regularly and work with remote clients. I don’t recall from memory if any are in Denver. Good luck.

    You mentioned owning several properties out of state.

    You want to work with a CPA who understands real estate taxation, CO state tax laws and the state tax laws in the state that you own properties in.

    Enoch,

    I recommend finding an accountant that specializes in real estate taxation over one that is local. You may want to consider working with your accountant remotely to expand your options.

    I would also recommend looking for a tax strategist who is willing to work with you throughout the year, not just when preparing your tax return. You want an accountant that can help you strategize and who is responsive when you want to know the tax consequences of the decisions you are making throughout the year.

    You also want an accountant that understands multi-state taxation.
