Hey Alec, I'm also a rental property investor and wholesaler here in the Tampa area. I can help you find a deal and give you some contacts, as far as coaching my best advice is to jump in and get your feet wet. Learn as you go
@Alec Strahl I’m not sure if you necessarily need a business coach, but more so someone that’s actually involved in the field themselves that has a proven track record. I’m sure @Josh Green would be willing to help you out, but of course you’ll also have to use him as your agent as well. He has helped a ton of people in your area from BP!
After 20 years in the business, managing hundreds of properties and helping plenty of new investors right here in Tampa, I’d say the best move is to find someone local who doesn’t just teach theory—but has actually done deals in this market. Tampa’s got its own rhythm, and having someone in your corner who knows the area makes all the difference. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat through your first deal—I’m happy to share some insights.
That depends... What is your strategy? Are you looking for someone to help you identify a good deal for a flip or BRRR? Or are you looking for someone to help mentor you for a turn key rental? Or something in between? If it's for a rental, STR, MTR or LTR? If you will be hiring a PM company, the PM company can help you run analysis on the potential properties for free.
I (and probably most other investor agents) offer consulting services but I'd get really clear on what kind of mentoring you're looking for before hiring someone so you don't waste your time or money.
Looking for an experienced real estate business coach to coach me through my first deal over here in the Tampa area. What options would you recommend?
As Ray mentioned above, hopefully you're working with a great agent to help coach you through something like that! What strategy or deal are you looking at doing?
