Company to find renters but not manage property?

Question

Does anyone know of any companies in Pittsburgh who will find and vet out renters without then also managing the property? The property is located in Bloomfield between children’s and west Penn. I’ve reached out to both hospitals and UPMC without any luck. It’s hard to get to the right people who can steer you in the right direction. Furnished finders doesn’t seem to have much traffic at this present time. Thanks for any insight.

We used to offer this service to investors but it created more problems than it was worth.

My honest advice- if you need help finding and screening tenants, then you definitely need help managing them too. No offense, but when there are tenant problems, an excellent PM is worth their weight in gold.

I'd just find a great PM and hand it over to them.

@Dan Camp real estate agents can screen tenants for you. Agents typically charge 1 month's rent to find and screen a tenant and get them on a lease contract. Agents usually don't manage or collect rent unless otherwise agreed upon.

@Dan Camp most real estate agents will offer this, but wouldn't recommend letting them do the prospect screening due to conflict of interest.

Probably better to hire a local PMC to handle this.

I’m looking for a longterm rental. Preferably 1-2 years. The house is furnished hoping to capture residents at the local hospitals to come in for a couple years. Furnished finders is to rent while I find a longterm renter. Thanks for the input.

@Chris Seveney keep in mind not all relators will handle these mid term furnished rental which I think is what he has judging by him saying that it is on Furnished finder.

@Dan Camp also see if there is a local Pittsburgh FB group for health care travelers. ALE solutions does insurance placements. You can advertise furnished on facebook marketplace. Roomies if it is a room or even a small unit. Depends on what you have and what you are looking for in a tenant.
