Hello BP Nation!

I was wondering if there are investors that would be interested in a Meetup North of the River on the MO side.  I know there are clubs and groups in KC, but most seem to be well South and even in Kansas.  

As an investor that prefers North of the River, I would like to meet new and experienced investors that work this part of the city as well.  The format would be informal, casual and possibly at an area coffee shop.  The meetings would be once a month.  I could facilitate the meetings, but the meetings should be very open.  I would also like to bring in other professionals (appraisers, tax professionals who specialize in RE, etc.) to bring value and content to the meetings.

This meetup is still going strong! We would love to see new faces.... 2nd Saturday of each month, at Platte Valley Bank in Parkville, from 9-11am.

    Rob, My business partner and I just completed our first deal in the Northland. We both live In the Northland and want to stay focused mainly up here. There doesn't seem to be many focused up here and even less opportunities to meet up with other Northland investors so we'd be happy to participate. Keep us in the loop. Drew

    It might be a small meetup (to start anyway), but I will put something together in the next few weeks. I will let send out a couple dates soon.  

    Do most prefer a Saturday morning meetup?

    I know it's short notice, but who would be able to make time this Saturday, May 14th, from 9-11am?  I'm sure a local Panera would welcome some coffee drinkers.

     Hi Reggie,

    The main purpose of the group is to network with other Northland investors.  However, there will be plenty of general info and I will not be checking ID's at the door :-)

    I'm sure many people who invest up North also invest in other parts of town as well.

    Hello every one.

    I am from the Seattle area and but am looking at exiting our two properties in what seems like an over-valued market and moving to (and potentially doing 1031s) to the KC area. As a parent with 3 kids our focus is going to be on the places with the better school districts, like the Park Hill school district.

    We wished we knew about this meetup every 2nd Saturday before we booked our flights for Jun 24-28 so we could attend the meetup. 

    So I am humbly trying the second best thing: if anyone here would be up for coffee to share your experiences to someone new to the area, please PM me.

    Hey, slightly off-topic and I hope this doesn't annoy people or come across as spam b/c that certainly isn't my intention. Since people are busy & don't often have time to attend meetups in person... Or, since people (like me) are investing in KC but don't physically live there.... I've created a "virtual meetup" - an ongoing chat (accessible from your phone or computer), participated in by a handful of KC investors who enjoy chatting about KC real estate & sharing ideas about locations, financing, contractors, property mgmt, rehabbing, finding & screening tenants, insurance, taxes, etc, etc, etc... And everyone's a KC investment property owner with no hidden agendas.

    Anyway, it's been great so far, and I'd love for a few more people to join us!

    I checked out your post about the KC Investors GroupMe Chat. I would be interested in joining the conversation. So far, I have only done 8-10 flips and a couple wholesales. However, I would love to get into the BRRRR strategy of buy and hold. Is there room in the GroupMe for someone like me?

    Also, if you ever plan on coming to KC, feel free to stop by our 2nd Saturday Meetup for Northland Investors. It's just starting, but it seems like there are several people interested in getting to know other investors who work North of the River.

    @Rob Scarborough - I sent you a direct message - there's definitely room in the KC group chat for you! The more diversity the better. That way it helps people expand their strategies & learn from others. Most of the people in our chat do buy & hold (including BRRRR), so it'd be great to have someone who has experience with Kansas City flips so we can all share knowledge. Also most people in our chat are operating south of the river (but I've always been curious about opportunities north of the river) so it'd be great to have someone with knowledge of that area as well.
