Are you looking specifically at PSL or more broadly at St Lucie or Martin counties? Speaking from the county perspective, it'll also probably be dependent on budget as the numbers for rentals out on the island are going to be different than properties further west
Actually just sold a property in Naples. Would love to buy there again but prices are too inflated. Seems the same most of the state eliminating most earning potential on short term rental property. PSL seems an affordable up and coming spot to possibly invest. 🤷🏼♂️
Looking for info on best areas in port st Lucy for a STR investment property. Any and all info is appreciated!
Hey Kevin,
It's important to note the city has special ordinances regarding STRs. You can apply for a license with the city https://www.cityofpsl.com/ Saint Lucie County is More Flexible.
Depending on who your ideal client is: (near i95 & the turnpike are great locations for commuters) (South Bend is the furthest south in Port St Lucie) (Tradition area is nice with a lot of amenities though you will likely have to pay an HOA) (St Lucie West also has many amenities and attractions) Note* Port St Lucie does not have a beach so if you are going to cater to the "Beach Rental Group" then you may want to consider Martin County (Jensen Beach or Stuart) Hope this is helpful!

I would just be concerned with demand. Prices may be lower but if there is not a huge draw to the area income will suffer. Ive never personally looked there but that is my top line thoughts. Have you looked on the west coast/tampa area?
