Blue Ridge, GA - Seeking Recommendations for Insurance and Handyman Services

Hello, BP STR community!

I'm thrilled to share that I've taken a big step towards my dreams and just purchased my very first Airbnb property in the beautiful town of Blue Ridge, GA!  As I prepare to welcome visitors to experience the beauty of Blue Ridge, I find myself in need of some valuable recommendations.

Firstly, I am currently in search of reliable and comprehensive insurance coverage for my cabin. Ensuring the safety and security of my guests and property is of utmost importance to me. If you have had positive experiences with insurance providers in the area or know someone who provides excellent coverage tailored for vacation rentals, I would be grateful for your recommendations.

Additionally, during the property inspection, we found a few minor repairs that need some attention before we officially welcome guests. A small leak in the hot tub and decks that could use a good staining are on the list. To maintain the highest level of hospitality, I am looking for skilled and trustworthy handymen in the Blue Ridge area who can assist with any repairs or upgrades needed. Your personal experiences and referrals for dependable handymen will be highly valuable in ensuring my guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay.

If you have any recommendations for insurance providers or handymen, I kindly request you to share them with me. Your insights and input will be incredibly valuable as I strive to create a memorable and comfortable experience for all visitors to Blue Ridge.

Please feel free to message me or leave your suggestions in the comments below. Your support is greatly appreciated, and I look forward to building a wonderful community of hosts and guests in the Blue Ridge, GA area.

Thank you for your time and assistance!

Hey @Jin Park. So for handy people, check your local Craigstlist and Angi maybe? I can't help with that.

Regarding insurance, you will need a STR policy. I would check with your current insurer to see what they offer. They might give you a discount to add it. If not, Foremost and Proper are both top notch STR insurers. Proper is more $$$ but I think it has more coverage overall. That is what we use.

Remember it is a Short Term Rental, not an AirBNB. AirBNB is a platform. Also, if you are not listed on VRBO, you are missing out on revenue.

You can ask contacts from your local agent. They may have someone for you to start with.
