Someone stole a gas grill from my STR

Happened about 3 weeks ago. So I've been rounding up all the grills from every property, cleaning them up, repainting them, and engraving my name in an inconspicuous area. I also told the lead detective from the p.d. about it when he was at a Ducks Unlimited meeting 3 weeks ago. He saw half a dozen grills in my carport that were in various stages of being refurbished.

Today I was in the back yard where the grill was stolen, and I saw what looked like my grill in the back yard of the house next door. I texted a previous tenant and he sent me some old pictures with my grill in my back yard. So I went to the p.d. and told the detective what happened and showed him the pictures. He sent a patrolman over to the house and he knocked on the door. No response.

What do you think will happen next?

I'd buy it back off Craigslist and have the officer pick it up lol
