Help. I don't drink coffee...

BP search function isn't working for me right now, I keep getting errors. I'm sure this has been discussed many times already.

Anyway, what should I provide for guests in way of coffee? I don't drink coffee so I literally have zero idea. I have a drip coffee thingy to put in (the cleaner would provide the grounds, I'd provide liners). Is the Keurig necessary? Can I get away without having it?

Keurig is easy because it doesn't require constant re-supply of filters and coffee, you can provide some varieties, and less likely going to be messes.

At the same time...I HATE KEURIG! My wife has one at home and the office and she bought one for our vacation rental and it makes me scream inside. Regular coffee, particularly fresh-ground, tastes so much better! The only exception is if you are drinking foo-foo flavored coffees like lattes, which the Keurig seems to make pretty well. My biggest issue? I think the pods are an absolute waste of resources and bad for the environment. It's like the adult version of juice pouches that are nothing but liquid sugar in a metal pouch with a plastic straw wrapped in more plastic that always ends up on the floor and never, ever in the garbage can. But I digress.

Keurig makes it easy to keep your home stocked for guests. But you could also buy a $30 coffee pot, 500 filters for $12, and coffee packets that enable your cleaner to set out a couple for each new guest to at least get them started.

There's going to be 4000-5000 tradesmen coming here during the next 4 months, pipefitters are one of the trades. They'll all make $2000-$3000 a week. But the big money comes from the ladies doing services. Two of them normally arrive in a travel trailer with 2 bedrooms. They can gross $500/hour each. Work 3 hours after night shift, then work 3 hours after day shift. Shifts end at 7:00. That's $3000 a day, or about $20,000 a week. That's over $300,000 for the 4 month maintenance project at the refinery.
They could make some extra money doing laundry or cooking meals, but that is chump change. I think the laundry and cooking services are apprentice jobs before they make the big bucks.

Living in New Orleans, you have to be local and not cheap to give customers the NOLA experience!
We do a Keurig in all of our units we own and manage. We go over the top and use a local producer, Community Coffee, as they give a chicory option as well as breakfast blend and dark roast. Chicory is an extremely NOLA flavor, and Community is a local company that sells in bulk. We buy them cheaper than normal in bulk (we go through a lot), and we’ve gotten reviews on how much people enjoyed it.

For around $13 you can buy a mesh filter to use regular coffee in a kuerig. I love it because I only drink one cup a day.

We have one and it seemed to leak grounds and not taste as good. I would probably have to use coffee that's not so finely ground.
Regardless, the stupid machines aren't healthy with all the hidden places they can grow mold. And I hate filling the stupid reservoir that nobody else seems to fill. I literally make three cups of coffee a day yet I fill the reservoir four times. How's that possible?!?

@Leora Merrell I own several, 5, Airbnb’s. Like you, I don’t drink coffee but I drink tea.
To keep it simple and cost effective I supply a basic but really nice drip coffee maker and provide about 2-4 different coffee options. This has worked very well. I also provide creamers, sweeteners. That tends to be what most guests expect. It’s a safe option, affordable and will generally satisfy 90 percent of guests. I also provide tea options and a kettle. Both coffee and tea do tend to get used at the same rate.
I don’t do the K Cups because I personally find them expensive and a bit cumbersome to use.

If it were me I would opt for a regular drip pot, filters and a collection of different sealed blends. This would be in a standard place. In an upper end, I'd add the Keurig machine and an assortment, and let the tenant decide for themselves which they wanted. If you see one getting heavy use over the other, you will know what they prefer.
As for me: New England Coffee, either the Columbian, Donut Shop or San Francisco blend. Good stuff!

Switching to tea here, but by far IMO the best option for tea are anything by Bigelow or Stash or similar that has a high-quality sealed pouch for each individual bag. Old tea has little taste and is really disappointing, while a nice fresh cup is really nice. Seeing as less people drink tea and it will likely get old on you, and that people that do like tea also usually appreciate a good cup, getting the one's in the sealed pouches is my recommendation for a STR.

My new favorite is Licorice Spice from Stash. The Lemon Ginger one is great too. But, it's hard to go wrong with the old-trusty Earl Grey.

My latest I have 5 different ways to make coffee.
1st way is a Kuerig drip coffee maker, which also takes K-Cups (2nd). I stock K-Cups, several different varieties and even hot chocolate for the kids.
3rd French Press
4th Aeropress
5th Pour over
Very well received and I do think I get more bookings with a $250 up front investment.
I have a burr grinder and Starbucks whole bean coffee for those who like to nerd out on fresh coffee.

I don't drink bourbon anymore, it gives me bloody nose. So there were about 20 people at my house for a Super Bowl party. Drinks are flowing and the game is over. I have 2 pairs of boxing gloves and 2 sets of headgear. Me and a former Division III college linebacker decided to box. I ended up with a bloody nose in a short amount of time. It was still bleeding this morning. I'm done with bourbon.
