Anybody have experience using airbnb in the Columbus market? Trying to get a feel for on average how many nights/month you can expect to rent. I know this varies based on several factors, but just looking for an idea.
Just look up your competition, check their calendars for price and availability, drop those details in a spreadsheet where you can play with things like occupancy rates to see what you could do with a similar property.
You talking about renting a whole house out or a room or two in your residence? We rent out rooms on airbnb but we're an hour plus NE of Columbus (Pike County).
Any location of Airbnb will get "some" business. In 2019 we did about $5500 of bookings in our house. We have three different spaces, no internet and live on a dirt road.
We have one booking on the calendar for the 4th of July weekend... Income this year so far is about $100.00. Glad this isn't our only income source. Usually we start getting booked up for the summer by now. This virus is rough on the STR market but it will be over soon enough.
