Carolina Beach Short-Term Rental Restrictions

We are looking at purchasing a beach house near Carolina Beach or Kure Beach, NC but cannot find any information regarding short-term rental restrictions. We are aware that HOAs have their own particular restrictions and certain homes may have 1 week or more reservations or 1 month or more reservations allowed, but is there a resource that has the ordinance layed out? We are trying to zero in on areas that will allow short-term rentals of any length. Thanks in advance!
