Why Sorrento? Are you planning on using it yourselves or renting it short-term? Doesn’t look like a location in high demand, rates are low and I’d worry about finding cleaners and maintenance people.

Hi Nancy, We have a family member who will be using it for a portion of the year. But we would be open to looking in areas close by.

I never heard of it but noticed the population is low, lots of open land and low nightly rates on Airbnb. I also know it has good proximity to destinations like Lake Mary, Mt. Dora, Deland, under an hour to Disney and Daytona. Not a typical draw for a STR investor however given they have a family member who will be using it, it all makes sense to them. And the purchase prices are low. Given you are from the area, you know it way better, no doubt @Michael Plante, and can answer them much better.
