Hello to all, my name is Jake, I'm new to the world of real estate and I mean very new. I'm in the process of buying my first single family home property. The reason I joined this forum is because I would like to surround myself with people who have advice or insights in the real estate market and continue the motivation of making this my path to financial freedom. Cringe I know but that is my goal.

Hi Jacob, One of the easiest ways of getting started in real estate today is to invest in turnkey properties out of state. If you have a busy 9-5 routine but have the money to get started and don't have enough time, turnkey companies provide some of the best resources to scale your portfolio. I have used that strategy so feel free to reach out if you want to discuss.

Thank you Nathan, I'm in the process of buying a SFH in Tucson, AZ. With some businesses in the city I found the area is great to do just that. I understand that I must live in the residence for a certain amount of time before I can rent out to others.

Good luck! I'm looking in the Tucson market as well. Live in Nashville so will be doing it long distance. I'd love to hear what areas you're looking in. We've spent some time in Tucson and really love it, so I'm trying to get more familiar with the neighborhoods.
Welcome to BP Jacob! The community here was crucial to my early days investing. My wife and I have a small (growing) portfolio here in Tucson that is a mix or long-term and short-term rentals. I'm also an investor-friendly agent in town.
Reach out if I can help or answer any questions.
Also - Thank you for investing in Tucson. My hometown is great and we have a vision of helping Tucson thrive.

Thank you Cameron, yeah I'm looking at homes generally in the east side of Tucson. I don't want to give out to much personal info but my limit of home prices is around the 300k range and I find homes around there that fit what I want. I believe there are newer homes being developed SW of Tucson, Valencia West, that are also great but that's my opinion.

Thank you Christopher it's great to know there are people in Tucson that's apart of the BP community. I do like Tucson and I'm very happy with my choice of wanting to invest here as my first property.

Totally get it, and thanks for your thoughts on Valencia. I'm a fan of the Sabino Canyon area. Seems like there are a lot of areas around town with long term opportunity.
I just wanted to say congrats on starting your real estate journey! It's a fun ride and there's so much to learn and on top of that there are a ton of people to network and connect with.
I'm in the Boise market and my husband and I started our journey 3 years ago. If you ever have any questions or need any guidance feel free to reach out!

@Jacob Aguilar what other markets have you looked at and what are your investing goals?
In all honesty I've only looked at the Tucson market. There's so much to learn on my end so I'm taking baby steps at a time. My investing goal is to make enough money where if I lose my job I have a safety net.
